Rum & Rhythm tickets

Sugar Cane Based Spirits

Sugar cane, a member of the grass family, and the source of sugar in all tropical and subtropical counties in the World.   Sugar cane reached the Americas in early colonial times.

Rhum, Rum, Ron...offers white (blanco/silver), dark and aged (anejo) styles. Flavoured, spiced and creams are also popular.

RUM - Most rums are made from Molasses. Molasses is the sweet, sticky residue that remains after sugar cane juice is boiled and the crystallized sugar is extracted. Molasses is over 50% sugar, but it also contains significant amounts of minerals and other trace elements, which can contribute to the final flavour.

RHUM - Agricultural rum is an alcohol obtained by distilling the fresh, fermented cane juice. Mainly produced in the French West Indies (Martinique and Guadeloupe), it is a high quality rum well known and appreciated for its specific aromas and flavours, and its process of making.
