WRECK WEEK

NATIONAL GALLERY OF JAMAICA EXHIBITION

Every year is an exciting one at the National Gallery of Jamaica as it commences each year with an important exhibition of the work of Carl Abrahams.  Other major exhibitions have featured Jamaica’s world-renowned ceramic artists Cecil Baugh, Norma Rodney-Harrack and David Pinto along with a "Homage to Bob Marley", a competition and exhibition dubbed the second Curator’s Eye exhibition, and Art on the Waterfront exhibits. JAMFEST SPRING BREAK CONCERT SERIES

JAMFEST concert series will rock the resort of Negril during the Spring Break month of March 2010. It will be one of the main events each week in Jamaica featuring top local and international artists.During the day visitors are  encouraged to go and check out the adventures of Negril, namely, cliff jumping, waterfall climbing, island picnicking, sunset sailing, beach parties, watersports or just relax on the beach and soak up the sun. SOUL REBELLION SPRING BREAK PARTY

Embedded within the 3 major weeks of Negril’s Spring Break season, and partnered with Negril’s N.E.E.T. Foundation, the event is composed of two segments.  The daytime component takes place at Traveler’s Beach Resort and is anchored by the ground breaking Buy-A-Brick program. The program allows Spring Breakers an opportunity to paint their names or school slogans on cinder blocks that are then used to construct school facilities in the local education system.
Participants in the Soul Rebellion share songs, dance, poems, and history. Soul Rebellion engages the visiting spring breakers in an organic fashion and presents an irresistible opportunity to fall in love with Negril, Jamaica.  At night, the event shifts to the artists and entertainers, delivering to Negril a signature and marketable event.
